The September to December ONS Jobs and Vacancies overview was released this week and gave an interesting overview of what to expect in 2020.

Last year we saw vacancy levels reach an all-time high, and although the number of vacancies has been slowly falling throughout 2019, they remain high compared to historical data.

Here are our top takeaways from the data published in January 2019;

Since the recession of 2008 – 2009, the job market has continued to grow, reaching a peak in January 2019. This data demonstrates the resilience of the UK job market amongst the economic uncertainty of Brexit and is good news for job seekers across the UK.
